WPXI-TV Pittsburgh produces digital content that spans over a dozen platforms, but their made-for-tv newsroom didn't have the resources their producers needed to monitor their online presence effectively. Working with their digital team and news executives, I developed a plan to put the right information in front of the right people.
WPXI had tools to monitor their website and online video, but no way of keeping tabs on their news and weather apps, since no commercially-available solution could continuously refresh and scroll through them. I found a way to make it happen using a single PC. We organized this and over half a dozen other analytics and monitoring tools across screens throughout the newsroom.
