Designer-hacker-journalist.

My name is Aaron Zufall. I make things that solve problems, help people, and tell stories.

Here’s some stuff that I’ve worked on.

Featured: National Week of Making

On March 9th, the White House announced the second annual National Week of Making. Just four days before, I was asked to build the website for the event.

Hundreds of organizations all over the U.S. submitted their events, and we featured dozens of individual makers. The site was featured on national television, and I was later invited to the White House to attend the White House Champions of Change for Making event.

Check out the website here.

Digital design and strategy

I help organizations solve organizational and communications problems through design, digital products, and strategy. I’ve worked with clients in education, entertainment, healthcare, small business, nonprofits, and more.

My clients do some awesome things—educating students, providing healthcare services and therapy, writing software for education, and lots more. I solve problems with design that’s practical, goal-focused, and bullsh*t-free.

Journalism and audio production

As a part of the award-winning news team at WICB-FM, I’ve produced dozens of audio news stories for our weekly newsmagazine show, Ithaca Now. Some of them have been nominated for awards from the Associated Press, the Society of Professional Journalists, and College Broadcasters, Inc. You can hear my work here.

And lots of other things

In the past few years, I’ve found myself:

I’ve made websites, software, video, audio, print media, and more. I’d love to add your project to this list. Feel free to drop me a line (even just to say hi).
